Four Seasons

Cross Stitch Pattern

With us living in Missouri, we do get to have the four seasons each year-often within a weeks time. Last week we had an ice storm so I had to work from home the last half of the week and today it is in the 70’s outside. After being cooped up in the house for a few days- I was so ready to get out! Saturday we went and checked cattle & then since it was so wet out we were able to start burning some brush piles in the fields. Saturday evening we went out for date night and had hibachi. Then on Sunday we went to church and had lunch with my parents. When we got home- Josh decided he wanted to burn a couple more brush piles. I’m really not a crafty-artistic person at all, but I’ve decided to cross stitch this picture of a cow for the nursery to keep myself busy while we are waiting. I told Josh that I would bring my cross-stitching out to the field with me so I could work on it while he was burning. So, I take the side-by-side out to the field, got all my stuff out and while I was searching for the right color of thread-the cross stitch material blew off my lap . I picked it up and then went to thread my needle- only to realize it wasn’t there. So I spent a good 30 minutes searching in the grass for my needle. It was literally like finding a needle in a haystack. Josh’s dad pulled up while I was searching and he said he had some needles at the house so I ended up just going there and getting a new one. So funny to me that he is the one that sews!

Last night we had dinner with Josh’s parents and Jake & Sy for his mom’s birthday. I’m the one that always organizes dinners, holidays etc- but apparently I forgot to tell Jake & Sy what time we were meeting for dinner. It ended up being a very long dinner since we had to wait for them to get there. Lol.
